Scripture Saturdays: When You are Weary

It’s hard to find time in your busy schedule to spend time with the Lord, but it is so very crucial to our spiritual well-being that we make this time. My challenge to you (and to myself) is to come together each Saturday morning and study a verse from the Bible. Let’s talk about what it means to us and how we can apply it in our daily lives. So look for a new verse every Saturday morning, grab a cup of coffee and your prayer journal, and let’s grow together in the Lord!

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly and the burden I give you is light” (Matthew 12:28-30).

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Trusting God in Difficult Times

When I got pregnant with our first child, my husband and I couldn’t have been happier! We would stand in front of the bathroom mirror marveling at all the changes taking place in my reflection. We bought little onesies and dreamed about how we’d decorate the nursery. We envisioned ourselves holding a beautiful little baby in just 8 more months

And then the bleeding started. I was in pain and absolutely sure I was having a miscarriage. We went to the hospital right away.

Trusting God In Your Season of Singleness

If you’re currently in a season of singleness, I want to give you some encouragement today.

When I was in my early 20s, I went through a time of singleness that lasted for seven years.

After the end of a particularly bad relationship and, then subsequently going on enough first dates to convince me that dating was just not my thing, I sort of fell into being single..
